Martine Wahl, the CEO of CRC, qualified as a medical doctor (MD) from Strasbourg University in 1979.
Following clinical experience in hospitals and general practice, she spent 9 years in the medical
research department of Ciba-Geigy, based at their headquarters in Basle, Switzerland. During this
period she became medical director of the International Primary Prospective Preventative Study in
Hypertension (IPPPSH) – A four year multi-national study evaluating beta-blocker effects in 6000 patients
across 300 centres. Her role during this time included the development and organisation of auditing
procedures.
In 1987 Martine founded CRC and since that time the company has gone from strength to strength, working
with major pharmaceutical companies and CROs across Europe, Asia and America in the field of clinical
trials.
Martine is an ISO 9000 accredited lead auditor, applying national and international quality standards
and a member of the IRCA (International Registered Certificated Auditor) organisation.
